馬刺與灰熊的系列戰，前兩場灰熊作客馬刺主場，每場都輸超過25分，今天換馬刺到灰熊主場踢館，遭遇灰熊頑強抵抗，半場打完馬刺僅以44比43領先1分，第3節打完70比71，馬刺落後1分，纏鬥激烈。
不過灰熊傷兵太多，主將中鋒賈索（Marc Gasol）以及後衛康利（Mike Conley）因傷報銷，這場比賽教練喬格爾（Dave Joerger）調整了先發陣容。
包括前鋒艾倫（Tony Allen）搭配法瑪（JordanFarmar）、巴恩斯（Matt Barnes）、卡特（VinceCarter）以及藍道夫（Zach Randolph），果然打出不一樣的球風，可惜仍功虧一簣。
馬刺後衛吉諾布里（Manu Ginobili）說，這場比賽的確不一樣，波波維奇（Gregg Popovich）表示，灰熊值得大大稱讚，他們全場展現了強悍與拚戰到底的意志，灰熊奮戰不懈的態度甚至比馬刺好。
喬格爾則說，為球員拚盡全力感到驕傲，但是最後時刻勝利仍屬於對手的，尤其他們全場在禁區出手50次，可是只有22次得手。
